The Stars On Their Horsies & David Tibet paintings of The Great In The Small

Summer Suns, Summer Moons—Hello, Hello!
Some More News From The Cruise Of Cartoon Arcadia.
Firstly, I have had to make some changes to the way I and we operate, due to the enormous amount of projects I am working on. I Have No Spare Time. So:

I am unable to dedicate, or inscribe, items personally; I do not do our mail-order myself, and I do not have the time to liaise with the people who send out the mail-order about requests for signing items. Signed editions are available online and at C93 Channellings. I appreciate people asking me to do this, but it takes me away from my work. Thank you for your support and enthusiasm and understanding!
  • When ordering items that are in numbered editions, it is not possible to request a specific number.
  • I sometimes announce new DT and C93 items which have been added to the shop on my various FcBk pages (David Michel Tibet, Current 93, HYPNOPAZŪZU, and Myrninerest) and on my Instagram account (davidtibet_current93) before they are announced on my WebSite.
  • I, and friends of mine, have started going through my archives in order to make more space for our Cats and Cuneiform. A lot of material from my past will be sold of—items by myself and items connected to me. The first item is a stack of the C93/Om split 10” from 2006—see further down this email.

C93 THE STARS ON THEIR HORSIES VINYL EDITION NOW IN SHOP

We now have received stock of the vinyl edition of The Stars On Their Horsies. There are 216 copies of this vinyl edition, with the 216 split equally over two differently-coloured screen-printed covers, meaning that there are 108 of each coloured cover available. One of the covers is screen-printed with a Silver Face and Gold Spheres on black card; the other is screen-printed with a White Face and Variegated Colour Spheres on black card. I have written, in coloured pencil, STARS on one label, and HORSIES on the other label. Each of the 2 sleeve-editions is signed, and numbered X/108, in white ink by me on the back cover.

PLEASE NOTE: although the album is now in stock, the person who does our mail-order is on holiday until July 18, so all orders will be sent after July 18 when he returns. Each record is £39 plus P&P, and they are available here and here. Copies are also available from Andrew Liles here.

DAVID TIBET THE GREAT IN THE SMALL PAINTINGS

I have been painting versions of the earliest C93 logo, as used on DOGS BLOOD RISING, in black on red. These are available here as both A3+, A3 and A4 sizes, at different prices. Each individual painting is signed and numbered by me in black ink.

DAVID TIBET’S ARTWORK AT THE HENRY BOXER GALLERY

The majority of my larger and more elaborate works are represented by the amazing and lovely art-dealer Henry Boxer, who specialises in Naïf and Naïve, Outsider, Self-Taught, and Visionary artists. To see a selection of them, please go here.

DAVID TIBET: NTS RADIO TAKE-OVER

I was invited to take over NTS Radio for 2 hours, playing some of my favourite-ever songs. My take-over will take place on July 14 between 23.00 and 01.00 hours. We will have a specific link for the event soon and we will share details of the permalink as soon as we have it.

C93 STOCKHOLM TOTES AND T-SHIRTS

We reprinted a small number of the totes and the t-shirts we made for the C93 Channelling in Stockholm earlier this year. They are available here and here.

DAVID TIBET ARCHANGEL MICHAEL TOTES

Earlier this year I was delighted to be asked to present a paper on my translation and edition of an apocryphal Coptic text—The Investiture of the Holy ArchAngel Michael—which, as its title asserts, deals with this specific ArchAngel. My paper also discussed how I first became interested in Coptic, and in angelology, and in Francis Barrett and his masterpiece The Magus. For the occasion, I made a small number of totes displaying facsimiles of magical names and symbols from the first and second editions, in my collection, of Barrett's The Magus, as well as from some early grimoires. The totes are screen-printed in silver, with a different image on each size; they were available on black cotton and on white cotton. A very small number of the totes are available here—10 of the black bag, and 4 of the white bag. The tote costs £14 plus P&P.

C93 NATURE UNVEILED 2LP LATHE-CUT EDITION

Work is still progressing on this edition, albeit more slowly than we had hoped. Thank you for your patience! Some more photographs of the work in progress are attached. Once we have received the album, and I have finished off adding to the covers, we will be adding back to the shop the small remaining quantity which had not been pre-ordered before we took them off the shop. It will later be available again here once we have added it back to the shop, although this link is not live for the moment.

C93/OM: BLACKSHIP SHRINEBUILDER (INERRANT RAYS OF INFALLIBLE SUN)

We have found around 40 copies of the C93/Om spilt 10”, Blackship Shrinebuilder (Inerrant Rays Of Infallible Sun), released on Neurot Records in 2006. C93’s side was titled “Black Ships At Nineveh And Edom (Inerrant Infallible)”, and Om’s side was titled “Rays Of The Sun / To The Shrinebuilder”. The vinyl is in mint and unplayed condition; some of the sleeves are very slightly battered, but not to any great degree. They are in various vinyl colours, but we are not able to specify which colour the purchaser will receive, nor look for specific vinyl colours. The 10” costs £8, plus P&P.

JIM PASCOE & HEIDI ARNHOLD: COTTONS—THE SECRET OF THE WIND

I have to make a huge recommendation for my friend Jim Pascoe’s extraordinary graphic novel, done with Heidi Arnhold, titled Cottons—The Secret of the Wind. It is the first part of a trilogy. I am really left wordless... it is absolutely and utterly wonderful. I was very honoured indeed to be thanked in the book. Please go to the book’s website here and to the publisher’s website here.

THOMAS LIGOTTI: COMING SOON—THE FILM OF IN A FOREIGN TOWN
I am delighted to pass on the news below from Michael Shlain, the director of IN A FOREIGN TOWN.

I am very pleased to announce that Butcher Bird Studios’ short film production of Thomas Ligotti’s IN A FOREIGN TOWN is complete. We created the short as a proof-of-concept for a television series adaptation of Mr. Ligotti’s stories which we will be shopping to distributors later this year. We are beyond thrilled to have worked with David Tibet and Andrew Liles on the music for film which includes tracks from the Current 93 album IN A FOREIGN TOWN, IN A FOREIGN LAND. More information will be made available in the coming weeks about how to see the film and how to get involved in the campaign to launch the series.

Updates can be found on the Butcher Bird Studios website blog and FaceBook page.

In the meantime, for some more background, in the most recent episode of Butcher Bird Presents, Director/Writer Michael Shlain and Producer Jason Milligan discuss the film.

Best wishes, Michael Shlain

Thank you all from UtterHastings,

David+++
