Due to the usual Christmas snarl and growl at the factories, we now expect the book to be delivered to us in January 2016, and will send out an update as soon as we have a definite arrival date. But we can give some more details. The book is 472 pages long, and the artwork on the front cover, as well as the decorative front and back endpapers (which have different designs) are by David Tibet. It contains a long introduction by David, and he has brought together 23 stories, one traditional folk ballad, 4 poems, 2 translations by him from Coptic (with original Coptic text accompanying it), and 1 translation by him from Akkadian (with original Akkadian cuneiform text accompanying it). The book concludes with brief biographies of each author, and details of first book publication of each item, by Mark Valentine, and also a section with David’s acknowledgements and thanks. The chapbook that accompanies all copies of the hardback is a story by Montague Summers, with a cover design by David.
Advance orders, and interest in it, have been so lovely that David is now working on the second volume with Strange Attractor Press to be published later in 2016.
The signed hardback is sold out from us, but a very small number are still available from Strange Attractor Press. All copies that were ordered from us, and those were, and are, ordered from Strange Attractor, also come with the Montague Summers chapbook mentioned above and a little surprise gift.
